Currently Obsessed: Ankle Strap Flats

I've mentioned it before, and I'm sure I sound like a broken record, but I'm a flats girl. I have branched out and have been wearing wedges and heels more, but more often than not, you'll catch me in flats. It's not just about the comfort, I'm a mover and a shaker - I walk quickly, break out in a jog sometimes(not often, HA), and generally just like the freedom of movement that flats allow. Any sort of heel makes me feel a bit unstable and less sure of my footing and sudden movements, not something I'm a fan of.

With that said, I've been looking for a while for a new pair of flats since I wear every pair I buy completely out. During my search I found tons of amazing ballet flats, but I'm currently really loving ankle strap flats. They're similar to ballet flats but I love the whimsical strap which also adds....wait for it.....more stability for quick-like-a-cat movements! :)

I bought the color block neutral pair below and I can't wait to get them! They'll be on my feet habitually ALL spring and summer long.

Ruffled Woodpile

I wore this last summer and it's been one of my tried-and-true outfits I throw on when I'm pressed for time and want something that's easy and makes me feel feminine and polished. I added tights, boots and a scarf the other day as the weather here in the northwest is still cold cold cold. I can't wait until I can wear it without all the extras.

I'd also like to mention how much I adore wood. Isn't that stack so pretty? I have a pretty little red stove in my house that I absolutely love! I love everything about wood, the chopping(I'm not good at it, I almost cut my legs off every time I chop), the smell of it, even stoking the fire. HA. Such a nerd and country girl I guess. Anyhow, happy happy Monday! So glad to start a new week! Hope today treats you wonderfully!

Redemption and Faux Fur

I don't know about you, but I am so ready for the weekend. Not that I had a bad or rough week by any means, I'm just excited about lots of down time with tea, books, old b&w movies, and walks. Ahhhh....

What are your plans this weekend?

Off topic, I am falling head-over-heels with wedge shoes. I've always been a flats girl, predominately ballet flats, but I'm finding wedges are much more comfortable in terms of support, plus stability-wise they blow heels out of the water! This nude pair is the second pair I've bought this week - the other is a cute black wedge sandal from Target(pictures to come soon). I've worn these non-stop since buying them and my feet have no complaints whatsoever. Love love love them. Do you wear wedges, or are you not a fan?
