As much as I love moody rich colors for Fall, I also love to brighten things up a bit by wearing fun, colorful brights and patterns like polka dots and stripes! Mix and matching patterns is also something I LOVE to experiment with. I organize my closet not only by piece, but by season, color and pattern and I find that by doing that it really helps me visualize new combinations and maximize what's in my closet.

Sequin Top, Leather Sleeve Jacket, Blue & Polka Dots

Had a busy busy weekend running around yesterday into the city for a soccer game, lunch and to have my engagement ring sized. It was really super rainy but I opted for my nude wedge heels instead of Hunter boots because sometimes rubber boots are just big and clompy and difficult to maneuver in around the city and in and out of cars. Don't get me wrong, I love, LOVE my Hunters, but sometimes a girls gotta wear something else.

Fall Layering, Chunky Scarves and Pops of Color

Brrrr. It's officially Autumn here and the mornings are really crisp and cold out, so my outfits have included chunky knit scarves and sweaters everyday. Weekend at the coast

These are just a few items I'm packing for my weekend getaway to the coast for a friends wedding! The weather's not supposed to be good so I'm definitely packing my Hunter rain boots (have you seen this color, and this one? LOVE the new Autumn colors) and lots of scarves. The weather on Washington's coast is pretty unpredictable, so I hear, especially this time of year, so I'm packing sweaters too. Oh, and the new J.Crew October Style Guide made a visit to my mailbox yesterday so you can be sure that's coming along too.
