I've never mentioned it on my blog before now, but I danced ballet most of my life - roughly sixteen years. When I saw the trailer for Black Swan, a new movie starring Natalie Portman, I was entranced and intrigued. Not just because the trailer is gripping, and looks like an edge-of-your-seat psychological thriller, but because of the costumes! It's not often that a film is made centered around ballet so this is super exciting for me! Below are a couple of the original Kate and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte sketches. Brilliant!

The film has inspired me to add some more prima ballerina lovelies to my wardrobe. These give off a feminine, ethereal, innocent charm. A few I'm loving:

I love dress #6. So pretty! I danced ballet for a while too, although not as long as you. Black Swan seems like an amazing, breath-taking movie.

I love that one too! I can see it dressed up or down with different belts and accessories - super cute!
